How to Support the African Great Lakes Initiative
Following our gathering on June 28, 2026 with program leaders from the African Great Lakes Initiative, we have more information about how to support this important work.
Stony Run sends direct support to three AGLI ministries:
- Friends Women’s Association (Burundi),
- Children’s Peace Libraries (Rwanda), and
- AGLI (area of greatest need).
You may donate online or send a check (please note which of the three programs above you wish to support).
To directly support AGLI’s work, go to the Friends Peace Teams website and click on African Great Lakes Region. There you can designate your gift to any of AGLI’s ministries. We especially encourage support for the programs highlighted in our recent gathering: Uganda, including the Refugee Camp in Adjumani; Kenya, including the Kakuma Refugee Camps; DR Congo, including HROC and more for IDP in North and South Kivu; Peace Libraries (Rwanda); and Friends Women's Association (Burundi).
