The Property Committee

Committee of the Month (April)

The Property Committee is concerned with management, care and improvement of the Meetinghouse and grounds. All are welcome to serve, with no requirement that one be a member of Stony Run or of the Religious Society of Friends.

While the statement above sounds simple, there is quite a lot of management to do! Recent issues have included replacement of part of the roof, decontamination of the Roberts Room -- flood-prone and full of mold; and current work to figure out the best HVAC system for the building to assure that those attending will have the cleanest air -- warm in the winter and cool in the summer.

Do you have a background in building management, architecture, construction, or a related field? Have you an interest in landscaping and /or gardening? Are you well organized in household care and maintenance? The Property Committee works quite literally to keep a roof over our heads as we worship here! They would happily welcome new members. If you would like to learn more about what service on this vital committee involves, please contact Andre Jones, a member of the Property Committee, or a member of the Nominating Committee.
