Join Stony Run at the May Day Protests (May 1, 2025)
By Laura McGuire
As we continue to work together and show up for justice in our city, state, and nation, members of Stony Run’s Peace & Justice Committee will be taking part in an event on May 1, 2025. Beginning in the late afternoon at various different places across the city, six different marches will then move through the city and converge on McKeldin Square in Harborplace at 5:30 PM for a rally.
Depending on the issue that is driving you, you may take part in marches in support of migrant rights, Palestine, academic freedom, workers rights, for the “99%”, or with families in support of justice.
Members of our community will be present and glad to help you find your way, whether this is your first protest or your 100th. In particular, if anyone wants to take part with their children, we can schedule a training session for kids.
If you have questions or would like to connect with someone attending one of these events, you can contact Ann Kehinde (marching for Migrant Justice) or Laura McGuire (with Families & Kids).
