Trumpet master Sean Jones and renowned tap artist Brinae Ali join forces in the groundbreaking piece “Dizzy Spellz”, a riveting tribute to Dizzy Gillespie presented through an Afro-futuristic lens. Blending jazz, tap dance, Bebop, and Hip Hop, this performance intersects cultural and spiritual dilemmas within the African Diaspora through the music of Dizzy Gillespie. They will be joined by Alex Brown, piano; Kris Funn, bass; Joshua Watkins, drums; and Wendel Patrick, turntables & effects.
For more than 15 years Stony Run has hosted an annual jazz concert as a fundraiser to support its humanitarian and social justice work. With deep roots in the Baltimore community, Stony Run Quakers let their lives speak in the areas of LGBTQIA rights, peace, immigration, racial equity, stewardship of the earth, and much more. This beloved musical tradition brings neighbors together to celebrate community while funding programs that put these values into action.

Tickets are not required for Stony Run's annual jazz concert fundraiser. All ages are welcome and child care is available.
