There are many ways to participate in the Stony Run community.
Some of the most common ways that people new to Stony Run get involved are by attending one of our two sessions of Meeting for Worship on Sundays.
Families often get involved with our children’s program. During our second meeting (beginning at 11 AM), children join the community in worship for the first 20 minutes. They then leave for “First Day School,” in age-appropriate classrooms. At the rise (conclusion) of Meeting for Worship, children rejoin their families
After the second Meeting, all are invited to stay for Simple Lunch, which is a good opportunity to meet others in our community.
Stony Run Friends Meeting has committees and working groups that meet to do the work of both our own community and carry our faith and our testimony of service into the world.
To learn more about some of our social justice initiatives, check out the Faith in Action section of this website.
We have a calendar of events that shows upcoming regular and special events at Stony Run or of interest to Stony Run Friends. To have your event added to our calendar, contact the office.
We invite people who wish to learn more about Quakers, or about Stony Run, to join us. You, and your family, are welcome to join us on a Sunday.
If you’ve been attending and would like to get more involved, ask around. Try out some upcoming events and programs, maybe even attend a working group or committee. See what feels like a good fit for your interests and your available time and energy.
