Friends Standing with Immigrants

The Quaker belief in the Light of God in every person compels us to act for justice for all. Given the urgency of standing up to actions being taken against immigrants, a Friend from Homewood Friends Meeting organized a rally to support immigrants, both locally and nationally. 

On February 27, 2025, Stony Run Friends joined Friends from Homewood, members of the Interfaith Coalition for Black Lives (IC4BL), and many other faith communities and allies, to stand up for immigrants.

Recognizing the inherent worth and dignity of all, we stood against the targeting of Black and Brown communities by ICE. We affirm: "No Human Being is Illegal."

The Light within calls us to raise our voices against injustice, support those facing discrimination, and work toward a world where all are safe and welcomed. Let us hold these concerns in the Light, and act with the courage to love.
