Sit anywhere. There are no designated seats.

Yes. Parking is accessed from Charles Street (first driveway south of the Cathedral of Mary Our Queen on the right). If you are heading north on Charles, turn left into the driveway on the north side of the meetinghouse and you will see the parking lot straight ahead.

Yes. We have handicapped parking right in front of the building. There is a ramp to the front entry, an elevator, and a hearing assistance system for the meeting room. You can ask an usher in front hall for help.

Yes. Two of the restrooms are gender-neutral and single-user.

The Meeting for Worship starts with people settling into silence. This can feel strange if you’ve never been to Quaker worship. Sometimes a meeting can be totally silent for an hour; often someone will speak out of the silence.
Anyone can stand and offer this vocal ministry – we don’t have a designated minister. Relax, focus on your breathing and enjoy the peace and quiet.

Friends take personal responsibility for their spiritual seeking and for the support and nurture of their Meeting community. Each Quaker meeting does this a little differently. At Stony Run, most of the work is done through committees and working groups, and individual leadings are supported. We also have office staffers who support the meeting committees and can answer questions or get you to the person who can.

Ask anyone! We all like to meet new people, so we hope you will feel welcome to approach us. There is also an usher in the hallway when you enter, identified by a badge. They are always happy to help. In between the first and second Meeting, juice is served in the library. This is a good time to ask questions. We also invite you to join us for simple lunch after the second  meeting.
