Donate Thanksgiving Weekend Meal Supplies to Baltimore City Public School Families

Interfaith Coalition for Black Lives November Rally and Related Action

By Ann Kehinde

Join the Interfaith Coalition for Black Lives (IC4BL) Rally at University Baptist Church on Sunday, November 17 at 1:30 PM (3501 N. Charles Street).

Our Related Action for November 2024, is to donate Thanksgiving Baskets to Baltimore City Public School children and their families at Federal Hill Elementary School. In past years, a donor provided frozen turkeys but the donor is not helping this year so the need is greater.

We are accepting donations until Monday, November 25.

Please consider donating on the Stony Run website (use the drop down option for Thanksgiving Basket donations) or you can write a check payable to Stony Run Friends Meeting with "Thanksgiving Basket Donation" in the memo line. Please mail checks to the Meetinghouse or leave them in the wall-mounted box next to the elevator.

Thank you for your support of our neighbors!

When donating online, please select "4510 - Thanksgiving Basket Donations".

If you're coming to the rally, we can accept canned yams, canned fruit, canned string beans and canned collard greens, rice, instant mashed potatoes, canned gravy or gravy mix packets, box macaroni and cheese and stuffing mix.  These items can also be left on the benches downstairs in Stony Run Friends Meeting, clearly marked for Thanksgiving Basket donations (please don't place them with GEDCO donations).

We are UNABLE to accept: turkeys, pies, or rolls at the Rally or at Stony Run because we are not delivering the baskets to the school until Tuesday, November 26th.

If you're able to donate most or all of the items for a basket, please contact the Office or Ann Kehinde to coordinate.

Thank you for your help in making it a great Thanksgiving for a Baltimore City family in need!
